books I love for summer reading

I've been reading since day 1, literally. In 3rd grade I had a 9th grade reading level and brought books EVERYWHERE. Once at a Detroit Tigers game (I was like 7), I brought a book and only looked up at the game once when there was a streaker on the field, whoops. Now that I'm 23, I still read daily and especially nightly. I'm obsessed and my Kindle is my life, literally my life. I bring it everywhere and anywhere and when I've left it in hotel rooms multiple times thank goodness for the Kindle App on my phone.

Here are a few of my favorites right now both for fun and for life.

GOOD FOR LIFE:

Eat Pretty Every Day- the best tips & tricks for happy and pretty living!

O's Little Book of Happiness- it's Oprah, of course it's a must-read.

Make Your Bed: Little Things That Can Change Your Life....and Maybe The World- Admiral William H. McRaven- the best advice you will ever read

Man's Search for Meaning- Victor Frankl- my grandma gave me this book and she knows best!

Broken Flowers- RM Drake- hands down the best poetry/life advice/love advice.

Living An Inspired Life- Dr. Wayne M Dyer- the title says it all.

In The Company Of  Women- Gracey Bonney- this is just perfect for any girl/women/lady/babe out there to read and be inspired.

THRILLERS:

Everything We Keep and Everything We Left Behind- Kerry Lonsdale- crazy, sad, thrilling- you will read both in a day!

Anything by Mary Higgins Clark and Sandra Brown- they write the best mysteries that have incredible stories and twists you won't see coming

The Girl Before- JP Delaney- so intense

The Wicked City- Beatriz Williams- a story that brings together the 1920s and present day- perfect for those history buffs!

Behind Closed Doors- B.A. Paris- you will NOT put this one down

FEEL-GOOD:

Anything by Liane Moriarty- she wrote Big Little Lies, but her other books are just as good, some even better. I've been rereading them all this summer and still can't put down

Anything by Jenny Hale or Elin Hilderbrand- the perfect beach reads

Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah- a novel about friendship

Small Great Things- Jodi Picoult- you will not believe this story plus they are making it into a movie!

Lilac Girls- Martha Hall Kelly- a book set in World War II, you won't put this down.

GIRLY:

According to a Source- Abby Stern- set in the magazine industry in NY, so juicy!

The Wild Woman's Guide to Traveling the World- Kristin Rockaway- just a run book all around

Anything by Sophie Kinsella- she is the genius behind Confessions of a Shopaholic (I've read EVERY single one, and her other books are just as fun!)
